S&G | THE CONNAUGHT
S&G were looking for the perfect venue to balance their different backgrounds. With the Groom being British, they wanted an iconic London wedding, and with the American Bride, they wanted an iconic American date for their international guests - 4th July! The Bride and Groom also requested an Art Deco theme with a colour palette of blues, greens and purples to resemble a peacock feather. The Connaught Hotel was the ideal location for the couple!
The Bride wore a sparkly wedding dress by Jenny Packham with a pair of classic, silver Jimmy Choos.
The dinner reception in the Mayfair Room was decorated with tall lisianthus floral arrangements in a mix of blues, purples, and green to recreate a modern interpretation of the tall feather arrangements popular in the roaring twenties. To break up the tall flowers, every other table had an elegant crystal table lamp centrepiece influenced by a piano bar - where the couple originally met.
Following dinner, guests moved through to the Regency and Carlos Rooms to toast the newlyweds during the speeches with Espresso Martinis. The couple then cut their sparkly and stylish wedding cake covered in silver sequins. And of course, with it being the Independence Day on 4th July, sparklers were also involved!
