A&R | MILLBRIDGE COURT
This Surrey wedding took place at Millbridge Court. The Bride wanted an “English Country Garden” as a nod to her British background, and it was important to the Groom to add Portuguese touches to represent his background.
The couple wanted a relaxed wedding somewhere in the country with a focus having a fun celebration with their friends and family. The colour palette was made up Portuguese blues and whites as well as pretty pastel hues - from the flowers to her with her six bridesmaids wearing shades of pastel blue, pastel pink and pastel yellow.
Personalised Portuguese details included a blue and white tile pattern throughout the wedding stationery, Portuguese wine, Portuguese tiles as decorative styling accents, as well as blue and white table runners made by the mother of the Groom. And to conclude the 3 course meal, traditional pasteis de nata (a Portuguese custard tart) accompanied the tea and coffee.
An impressive naked wedding cake adorned with an abundance of fresh summer berries sat atop a rectangular table covered with Portuguese blue and white tiles and carpet moss.
After dinner and the cutting of the cake, the dancefloor opened and guests enjoyed a custom cocktail which was specifically created for the newlyweds and named after their married surname.
