STEWART PARVIN 2016 BRIDAL COLLECTION
It was a pleasure to view acclaimed bridal and fashion designer Stewart Parvin’s latest 2016 Bridal Collection - which was to celebrate 20 years at the forefront of British couture design. Stewart was awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen in 2007.
The intimate salon privé style launch resembled chic Parisian couture shows from the 1950s.
The luxury designer’s exquisite 2016 collection remains true to his signature sophisticated, elegant and understated look, however, Stewart has included new fabrics such as silk crepes as well as distinctive, breath-taking laces combined with new silhouettes. The finest materials result in a collection of masterfully constructed gowns, designed for a superb fit.
Louisa Shipstone, Senior Brand Manager at Stewart Parvin says: “The new collection represents a departure from the traditional and classically bridal Alencón laces used previously. The tone of the collection certainly captures Stewart’s chic, understated aesthetic, for which he is so well known and this season focusses on flattering A-line silhouettes and soft fluidity, creating a distinctly relaxed look”.
Louisa Shipstone adds: “Every collection we produce remains completely true to Stewart’s hallmark design style. Even as this year, we have a slight departure from the grand formality of previous years, each gown is still undeniably part of the brand. His aesthetic is quite literally stitched into the fibre of each dress. As with all of Stewart’s collections, the quality of construction and design is second to none”.
