ANGELINA'S ATELIER VERSACE WEDDING GOWN
We were waiting with bated breath to see Angelina's gown the moment it was announced that the couple had wed on 23 August 2014 at an intimate ceremony at their French chateau. The gorgeous, award winning actress and humanitarian's chosen gown has sparked debate with people divided about whether they love it or hate it.
Angelina decided to appoint Atelier Versace for her one-of-a-kind dress. Her wedding gown was designed by Donatella Versace, and made by the Atelier's top tailor, Luigi Massi. We particularly love this sketch of the dress by Donatella Versace:
Her dress was a classic ivory featuring a ruched bodice, thin shoulder straps and a full skirt. The back of the dress and long veil were then embroidered with colourful drawings made by Angelina and Brad's children as the Bride and Groom wanted their "kids to be part of everything including the dress."
What we love is that the veil and back of the dress is a true reflection of who Angelina and Brad are - both as a couple and as parents. Whether you like it or not, Brangelina have injected their personal style into their wedding to tell their personal story, rather than follow what is expected of them as a couple with their high-profile celebrity status. This is precisely what we love to help couples achieve when they appoint Lamare London - your wedding should be unique to you and have personal meaning behind it. (You won't find cookie-cutter weddings at LL!)
So, for picking a dress with personality and involving their children for sentimental reasons, we give Angelina a big thumbs up! Her dress will remain memorable forever. And you just have to see the proud, happy and giggly faces of their beautiful children in People / Hello! the moment the couple exchanged their vows and share their first kiss - it's enough to melt your heart.
We would like to wish the newlyweds all the best together with their gorgeous family in their new journey together as husband and wife!
We would love to know what you think of her dress in the comments below.
